Since his introduction to the world of DJ-ing in 1999, 2x UK DMC
Vice-Champion DJ Cable has established himself witin the UK's
competitive club scene, emerging as one of the best party rockers it
has to offer. Having supported international artists such as Sean
Kingston, Bobby Valentino & Soulja Boy, played alongside household
names such as Semtex (BBC 1Xtra/Def Jam), DJ Craze (3X DMC World
Champion), Cash Money (DMC World Champion), C2C (4x DMC World
Champions), Shortee Blitz (KISS 100), DJ EZ, having had mixes aired on
BBC 1Xtra & Kiss FM, and now having entered the realm of
international Dj-ing, there is no doubt that he is definitely one to
watch out for.
Over the years, Cable has developed his own style based on
originality, creativity, and technical ability - offering what a lot of
DJs seem to be lacking in this day and age. Combining this with an
innovative and eclectic mix of Hip Hop, Dancehall, Baltimore, House
& Electronic music, and even his own mashups - some of which have
been signed to world famous AV8 Records - Cable's unique, genre-melting
sets offer a serious breath of fresh air.
After achieving a place in the 2003 ITF UK Finals in his first year
of battling, he has continued to make a reputable name for himself in
the world of DJ competitions, right up until now, which has seen him
achieve the title of DMC Vice-Champion on two occasions, and reach the
DMC UK Final twice - achieving 3rd place in 2007.
2006 saw him make the move to Cambridge's premier community radio
station, 209 Radio, where he co-hosts and acts as the Resident DJ for
the station's main Hip Hop show. This year, he was recruited by the
Addictive Tour brand to produce and DJ for their Urban music show,
which can be heard every Saturday night on Radio Plus in Mauritius.
With ever-increasing bookings, tours, mixtapes and productions on
the horizon, it won't be long before DJ Cable becomes a household
