Jon Fitz: “I love the nightlife here” Jon Fitz: "I love the nightlife here"

Jon Fitz, British dj that no longer was the Palladium Wednesday evening for the "Ministry of Sound Addictive Tour" special "Ibiza Foam Party." The dj has kindly answer our questions between two sets.

How successful do you do with your first visit to Mauritius and what do you think of the local nitelife?

To be frank, I did not expect such a welcome to the public of Mauritius. The contact with the crowd is electric and people react very well to my mixes. I took a lot of fun to play before an audience of connoisseurs. I love the nightlife here… Mauritius is becoming a small Ibiza. I love the nightlife here… Mauritius is becoming a small island.

You speak of Ibiza… what are the similarities between this island and Mauritius?
I did not say that Mauritius is like Ibiza. But the basics are there. Your island has the potential to become a small island. The Mauritian public is very receptive and has a good musical culture.

Just Can not Get Enough, released in 2006, is your last big success. You have since disappeared from the charts.A return by Jon Fitz summit of the charts is it planned?
I have travelled extensively over the past two years. I produced in dozens of countries while working on new productions that will be as good as Just Can not Get Enough. I took my time to make a quality product that should come out before the end of this year.

The djs of the Ministry of Sound often return to Mauritius. Will you be the next trip?
It is with pleasure that I return to Mauritius. The island is so beautiful and the public is super. I am eager to mix again here.

Both DJs will perform alongside Mauritian Djs in the first Ministry of Sound Events, that Ziggy Rhomatally, director of Mayzi Co Ltd, announced as a "magnificent event. Other musical events will be held in December and April, always with Djsinternationaux. » "

Ministry of Sound was formed in the early 90. It was - and remains - a major player in the development of House Music. The club has been able to impose its vision of the world by offering DJ sets at its musical events.

Currently, Ministry of Sound is a major label European electro music. The group is majority owned by Jamie Palumbo. This label is present everywhere in the world. From Paris to New York via Beijing, any good clubber knows or has heard of Ministry of Sound. In Mauritius, the label is represented by Mayzi Co Ltd. With this authorization, Mayzi Co Ltd may have access to all members of Djs Ministry of Sound.

ZIGGY RHOMATALLY
"Making a Mauritius Upper Class Ibiza"

After working in the organization of several major parties in England, Ziggy Rhomatally, director of Mayzi Co Ltd, is back.He brought with him the exclusive rights for musical events of Ministry of Sound (MOS) for Mauritius and Reunion.

You organize a musical event under the label Ministry of Sound on 1 September. What is the difference between an event MOS and other Djs evenings?

You can not compare an event MOS with other evenings Djs held in Mauritius. Just because MOS is a label recognized worldwide that was developed in Britain in the VIP rooms and which subsequently was exported to USA, Europe and China.

But what an event MOS… and why did you choose Mauritius as a destination?

The MOS events have literally changed the concept of nitelife almost everywhere in the world. Each of these events is unique and includes Woww Factor (Editor's note: surprise effect), which aims to surprise the public. The decoration is impressive, there will also talented DJs and shows which are all part of the event. And thanks to label MOS, which I am the sole representative for Mauritius and the island of La Reunion, I can bring any Dj in Mauritius. I am also the representative of Addictive Tour label for all other countries.

You could continue to organize large events in Europe. However you choose to put your bags here.Pourquoi ? Why?

Mauritius is a paradise that has great tourism potential and many talents.Mauritius is a niche market for tourists. Many people come here to spend their vacation and honeymoon. But Mauritius is not known. The MOS events are designed to attract young professionals in Europe who love this kind of show. The clubbing tourism is a niche that we must exploit. I want to make Mauritius a Upper Class Ibiza.

What do you think of "nitelife" Mauritian?

The nitelife Mauritius is not developed enough. The North is saturated with clubs. But these nightclubs n'innovent ever. There is always the same decor, music and you're the same people.

With the events MOS you will expect the unexpected. We need the mentality of Mauritius clubber change and that the nitelife develops. That's what I intend to do with the events that MOS organises three or four times a year.I want to broaden the concept of events in Mauritius.

And the local Djs in all this?
There are very good Djs in Mauritius and we do not neglect. They will have the opportunity to occur regularly with big names of deejaying at musical events MOS.
